Chef Coats

 Irrespective of their size and market value, al most all the restaurants are insisting on a strict and dignified dress code for all the chefs working in their restaurants. They are even going one step ahead and appointing special and highly professional designers to design the complete attire of their chefs. Even though these designers are demanding huge amounts the management of these restaurants is quite happy to pay them until they are delivering high quality designs.

-A chef’s uniform consists of different pieces of clothing to complete the attire. A chef’s uniform generally consists of a head net or chef hat; a bandanna, chef neckerchief, scarf, bow tie or Swiss tie; apron, chef jacket or coat; chef pants; belt, gloves; and shoes. Even some more new things are getting added up to this attire.

-Out of all the clothing that forms the complete chef’s attire, chef’s coat is a very important one. It is the one which gives the chef that much needed look on the first sight itself. It has the power of making the whole uniform as a classy, stylish and dignified one and in contrast it can also make the whole chef’s uniform look very ordinary.

- Apart form its look it offers chefs with so many advantages. Chefs can carry all the supporting things which they have to carry in the kitchen while doing their work, in its pockets. Normally chef’s coats are designed with so many pockets of different sizes, so that chefs can use them according to their need and necessity.

- How ever the basic chef coat, which is a white traditional chef coat, comes with none or at most one pocket. Normally people wear aprons with some pockets to carry the necessary things if they got a basic chef coat on. Or else some chefs also prefer to use the pockets which are with their pants.
