The other type is inset pockets and they are available on the front side of pants. Pleats are the number of vertical folds below the waistbands and used for loose fitting of the pants. Waistband is the thick layer of the cloth that enables the pant to hold on the waist. The waistband can be of elastic and in case of cotton waistband it is fastened with the help of a leather belt. The fly enables the individual in easy urination. The fly can be closed with a zip or with the help of buttons. In case of pants having elastic waistbands does not have any fly because these pants are easily removable and mostly used by the children. The leg shape depends on the individual’s choice. Most of the leg shapes are straight in character and in some cases the lower side or the ankle portion is flared and is commonly known as bell-bottoms. Belt loops are available on the waistband to fasten the belt to hold the pants on to the hip, so that it should not slip down. In some of the dress pants suspenders or the braces are also used to adjust the size of the waistband. s stated above the dress pants are the most important accessories of the all types of uniforms and it is the symbol of civilized culture. The men in case of formal wears normally prefer dark color dress pants, as it provides dashing look and suits for all the occasions. The dress pants are so important that some of the countries even passed laws and bills were passed in respect of wearing pants. Louisiana is the first state to pass the bill and as per the bill exposing of legs in public area is a crime and liable to be punished heavily. Later on even Virginia also passed similar bill in 2005.Thus one can understand the importance of the dress pants in the public places and in the society. |
