Formal wear

Formal is also known as formal dress and commonly worn during formal events such as weeding, ballroom dances and during debutante cotillions. Formal wear has a great influence in most of the western countries. It is common attire in almost all the countries where there is no standard pattern or a formal version. This formal wear is also common attire for the foreign dignitaries and guests during important state occasions. There is difference between ladies formal wear and the men’s formal wear. The main purpose of formal wear is to have uniformity and no one should come for the function in hanky panky way. This provides a discipline to the function and to other important ceremonies. In case of united Kingdom this formal wear is of two types one of them is wore during the morning hours and called as morning dress and the other one is usually wore during the afternoon hours, that is known as day wear.

However some relaxation are permitted now days as there are various categories of formal wears and due these categories most of the peoples get confused over the wearing the formal dress code. But in case of military establishment and state functions the formal wears are strictly followed and the defaulters have to answer for the negligence. In some of institutions even dress code numbers are allotted to the formal wears and those dress code numbers are printed on the invitation cards and they are followed strictly.

In case of evening formal wears black tie is must along with dinner jacket and dark color pants. Grey tie and tailcoats along with full pants is the formal wear for the waters and the servants. Lounge suit or the lounge formal wear is meant for the business oriented group of people, in which a full sleeve shirt and plain dark color pants with tie is mandatory.

In case of women evening gown is considered as the perfect formal wear for the important occasions and the evening parties. In some of the Asia countries sari is considered as favorite formal wear and it given top most priority.
